The Bunk Room, a by kids for kids online magazine, is proudly partnered with Nourish The Children, an initiative of Nu Skin Enterprises that facilitates the donation of food (Vita Meal) worldwide in an effort to end world hunger.
Vita Meal is a highly nutritional blend of ingredients designed for maximum absorption and the reversal of malnutrition in the body. Formulated by a team lead by Ken Brown, a world-reknown specialist on malnutrition, a donation of one bag of Vita Meal can feed a child for 30 days.
Nourish The Children has provided nearly 170,000,000 meals to date with a goal for 2010 to exceed the 200,000,000 mark!
In cases of natural disasters, such as recently in Haiti, all donations in January were directed to that area. This month a significant portion of the donations will go to Haiti as well.
In 2007, Nu Skin Enterprises won the American "Stevie" Business Award for the best corporate social responsibility program (Nourish The Children).
What excites us at The Bunk Room is that we can tangibly help starving children. A donation of a $22 bag of Vita Meal goes directly to feed a child for a month. Nothing is lost in administrative costs.
