Another BEST way to becoming a full-fledged Bunk Room contributor is to write a Road Trip article. Every issue we feature a new adventure so you’re work is more likely to get published sooner!

Write about a trip you’ve taken, whether with family, friends, school or church. Whether by land, air or sea. We call it “Road Trip” because you actually are going out on the road at some point on your way to adventure!

Here’s what you do:

As with the Day-To-Day article, pretend you’re writing to you BFF or writing in your journal. Imagine sharing the highlights of your trip. What you loved most. What was thrilling? What was exhausting? What was just plain “Sheesh, I’ve never seen that before” interesting to you.

Describe things as vividly as you can. After all, we weren’t there, so we have no idea what you were seeing. Challenge yourself to describe the things you saw and the feelings you had. That’s the stuff of good writing! :)
